This Santa Snatched Up A Play Kitchen

I love Christmas shopping early because I love getting stuff dirt cheap. I just snatched up a Pink Kidkraft Play Kitchen for Carsyn on Overstock.com for $135. It was listed for $150 but I had a coupon for $15 off. SCORE :)

Yes this little beauty is going to be perfect as Santa's "Big" gift. Now I am on the hunt for a bunch of play food & a much too cute apron. Wish me luck.

Twig Snowflakes

Today I started working on making ornaments for the Rustic Themed Tree I would like to do this Christmas. I made a couple twig snowflakes.  Super easy!!!

Now I just need to make a trip to the craft store before I can finish these two beauties up. I want to put a small sprig of fake greens at the center of each and adorn them with a little something else. Instead of hanging these by string... I plan on hot gluing a small metal clip to the back so I can just clip them to the branches. 

I will post more pictures when they get done :)

A Good Buy!!!

Every year I keep my eye out my for deals. Spring and Summer time are the best to get deals on toys for Christmas. I find that in the Autumn, stores mark toys up for the upcoming holiday season. This week I found this lil gem on sale at Toys R Us for a GREAT price. It's the fisher-price laugh and learn home.

Christmas Morning 2013

I have finally made it around to doing a post for our Christmas Morning 2013. This was Carsyn's First Christmas!

We woke up and headed straight to the fireplace where Santa left a pile of toys for Carsyn and filled all of our stockings. The dogs still got their stockings filled this year.  (Nothing like years past though... poor boys)

Here is the tray of cookies that we left out for St Nick on Christmas Eve.

After opening all of the gifts from Santa, we headed over to our Christmas Tree to open the gifts for Carsyn from Mommy and Daddy. 

The last stop was into Carsyn's bedroom to open the gifts that she got for us. She is too sweet. 

I just wish I could go back and replay that morning. So magical.

The Extra Tote

 Totes grow on trees over here at my home. My husband bitches every time he goes in the basement. Apparently I have too much Christmas stuff... AS IF!!!

Every year when I am packing up my Christmas paraphernalia I leave 1 large tote completely empty at the front of my storage room. This tote will be completely full, usually, by the time the following Christmas rolls around. It has donned the name THE EXTRA TOTE. I fill it with odds and ends I find on sale throughout the year. Also, every year there are a couple decorations that accidentally get left out and they find a cozy home in this TOTE.
